SURFACE PATTERN PROCESS Spring always feels like a season of fresh inspiration. Lately I’ve been revisiting parts of my surface pattern design process that I truly love but haven’t had the chance to focus on for a while — starting with hand-drawn and painted motifs, then scanning and digitising them to build repeat patterns. It’s been a great reminder of why I enjoy this craft so much. Exploring form, texture and detail by hand brings a different energy to the final design.
